Bah Gawd! That's Headlocked Comics music!
Alternate Title: What is Headlocked Comics doing back in the Substack Zone?
First of all…I know.
It’s been a minute since I’ve used this. And there’s a good reason for that. Some of you know, some of you don’t.
I’ll be explaining it soon.
Right now, I’m dropping this to let you know that I’m back on the Stack. And I’m planning on regular Tuesday updates.
There’s a lot that’s happened since we last spoke. There was a lot of good stuff and then a lot of bad stuff. I mean A LOT of bad stuff…and that went on for a while…way too long. Then finally some good stuff again.
But there’s a lot different: new collaborations, new artists, new convention displays, a new tagline, oh yeah and a new logo.
Pretty cool, eh? And there’s more coming.
But it’s not all different: still running a thousand miles an hour, working on a ton of dope projects, and back on the road. (I’ll be in Baltimore this weekend)
Most importantly, I wanted to share this with you:
Huge pop for Napalm and this dope promo image. I originally posted this in May of last year with the date reading July 2022 but then that’s when everything fell apart. So we spun the dial a bit and made it relevant again!
The news here is that we’ll be dropping the Kickstarter for Tales From The Road Volume 3 this month. And it’s going to be soon…maybe even this week.
I wanted to get you guys as much of an advance notice as I can. There’s a lot of really cool limited stuff in there (exclusive variants, autographed stuff, older books) and I want to make sure y’all have a fighting chance at it.
Beyond that, we have some more cool stuff coming…a new non-Headlocked series that will be in comic stores, a fresh November collab that will leave you saying Thank You to the collaborator, and finally some real headway on Volume 5 of Headlocked. (and I’m in talks with some suuuuuuper dope names to do even more amazing stuff…so fingers crossed)
I appreciate everyone who’s stayed subscribed here during my exile. It’s been a tough stretch but hopefully the roughest waters are behind us.
-Mike
Here’s a list of shows that I’ve committed to for the rest of the year. As always, I might be adding more but this is where its at, thus far. I always love the old WWF tour promos with the trucks, so this is a bit of a nod to that.
